Gua Sha helps you to get clearer, younger, and healthier skin. Guasha is ancient Chinese healing technique is more effective than many of the beauty products. Both the tool and technique are called Guasha.
What is Guasha?
Gua Sha is an incredibly relaxing therapy that is performed using gentle strokes to massage, manipulate and stimulate specific energy lines and points along the face. This helps to promote healthy lymph flow by releasing toxins that have been stuck. It creates a beautiful lift in the face.

- Aids in eliminating dark circles around the eyes

- It retrains the muscles of the face, relaxing them, strengthening, lifting and toning
Best part is you can use it at home and it gives immediate facelift.
How Does Gua Sha Work?
Gua Sha helps our skin to be more efficient by releasing and clearing toxic stagnant lymph and removing blockages from the shoulders, neck, and face. It highly supports lymphatic drainage, that removes the toxins. By removing the toxins we create natural flow of energy. When there are blockages, tension knots and stagnation, there is no space for oxygen, blood and nutrients to flow properly and therefore the skin is not able to function as it should, and we see the dullness, wrinkles etc.
It also does wonders for getting rid of puffiness or under-eye discoloration, as it removes excess fluid and improves blood flow.
Gua Sha Can Help Improve Acne:
If you’re prone to acne or experiencing a breakout then Gua Sha can help as it encourages the drainage of stagnant (toxic) lymph so that in turn promotes healthy skin function (flow).
Gua Sha for Dark Circles
Dark circles can be caused by genetics, poor circulation, and lifestyle. If dark circles are not caused by an overproduction of melanin (which causes pigmentation), then poor blood flow, lack of sleep, stress, dehydration, dietary factors or alcohol could be to blame. The good thing is, Gua Sha can help to depuff the areas and improve the appearance of dark circles over time.
Gua Sha for Your Body
Gua Sha can be used all over the body to improve circulation, which also relieves muscle and joint pain as well as more severe conditions. Because Gua Sha increases your blood flow, which is vital for your general health, it means that oxygen can pass to your vital organs efficiently as well as to your skin and extremities such as your hands and feet. Gua Sha also boosts your immune system by moving bacteria and toxins away and out of your body via the lymphatic system.
How to Do Gua Sha for Your Face:
1.Cleanse face and hands: Wash your face. Pat dry a clean washcloth or face towel.
- Use a toner – This is optional step. If you want you can spray your face with our ‘Neroli-Orange’ or ‘Rose-Jasmine’ toner.
- Apply Renew or Radiance face Serum– You need only 4-6 drops of the serum. Apply serum starting on the forehead and moving down in the direction of draining lymph fluid. This activates movement in skin and tissues, and it’s a nice prep before the Gua Sha.
- Warm your Gua Sha tool slightly by rubbing it between your hands. This also greases the tool up a bit so it doesn’t pull on your skin in the areas that didn’t receive as much oil.
*** Keep your tool almost flat to your skin (about 15 degrees) rather than having the edge of the tool at 90 degrees to your skin.
- Follow the direction card (small card which comes with your Gua Sha) to use it for best results.
- Sweep up your neck on both sides – Sweep very gently over your Adam’s apple — this is more of an energetic sweep to activate your REN line. (The REN channel in Chinese medicine collects the body’s yin energy, treats the problems of the abdomen, chest, neck, head and face.)
- Sweep under your chin– from the middle of your face out to your earlobe, keeping your tool flat. If you’d like, hold the skin under your chin with your other thumb as you glide the tool back to your earlobe in the opposite direction.
- Sweep from the middle of your chin over your jawline – back toward your earlobe. You can gently jiggle at your ear to encourage the fluid to drain down the neck to the lymph nodes at the base, just above your collarbone.
- Sweep underneath your cheekbone– a lot of fluid that tends to be stored here, and direct it toward your hairline. You can lightly and gently jiggle your tool at your hairline.
10.Sweep over your cheekbones – finishing at the hairline.
- Sweep over the eyebrow out toward the hairline and up from the brow bone (up the forehead) finishing at the hairline. When you sweep up, do it in tiny sections, moving along the eyebrow in three to five sections.
- 12. Sweep from between the eyebrows over the third eye and up to the hairline.
- Sweep from the middle of the forehead out to the hairline.
- Now caress the other side of your face, starting again with your neck and working through the steps.
- Slide down the side – When you’ve finished the other side of your face, finish the treatment by sweeping down the neck to assist with lasting drainage. Keep your tool very flat and hug underneath your jawbone. Lovingly sweep down the neck to the collarbone.
*Keep your tool almost flat to your skin (about 15 degrees) rather than having the edge of the tool at 90 degrees to your skin.
* When your tool starts to drag or pull on your skin, add a little more oil for better slip.
